As someone fortunate enough to collaborate with Val on a logo design project during the holiday season a few years ago, I am thrilled to share the story behind this remarkable space.
First off I need to give credit where it's due. This idea and creative venture was all started by my friend Val, the visionary owner of The Cochran, he is a true creative entrepreneur. With an eye for design and a passion for creating remarkable experiences and products, Val has transformed The Cochran into a destination that exceeds expectations. Val's dedication to detail and commitment to providing an immersive environment have made The Cochran a sought-after spot among travelers visiting Houston; this unique Bayou city does have a reputation for being extra soulful. I did not have the pleasure of collaborating with Val on designing The Cochran's logo. Instead he allowed me to "hand paint" it on pieces of plywood staying true to grassroots and tradition. We were able to use a transfer method to take this particular typeface and bring it to life. This partnership allowed me to witness Val's unwavering enthusiasm for creating a brand identity that truly represented The Cochran's essence. Through extensive discussions and brainstorming sessions, we worked together to craft his logo on the plywood making sure to get a solid result and capturing the unique spirit of this Tea Lounge. The logo perfectly encapsulated The Cochran's charm combining elements of elegance, warmth, and artistic flair. We continue to inspire each other with wild ideas of travel, collections, and our crazy attempts at living life on our own terms.
